Our immediate issue is to stop a warehouse in downtown Phillipsburg along the Delaware River riverfront. In May, 2021, Ordinance 2021-14 was passed changing the property from residential to heavy industrial, paving the way for a warehouse to be built. We believe the ordinance is wrong for many reasons. However, one of our strongest reasons for believing the ordinance is invalid is due to a conflict of interest with several Council members who voted for this ordinance. For more information regarding the warehouse issue: https://phillipsburg.nowarehouse.org
We have employed an attorney to help us fight this ordinance that changed the property from residential to heavy industrial. Because of tactics employed by the town and the developer, Peron Corporation, our lawsuit has taken many months.
